A new television drama has joined İctimai TV’s programming lineup, quickly capturing viewers’ attention and setting social media abuzz. The highly anticipated series Tilov officially premiered this week after months of teasers and promotion.
During a recent interview on a talk show, film director and screenwriter Parviz Hasanov and actor Amid Gasimov discussed the creative process behind the production and what makes the project stand out in the current landscape of Azerbaijani television.
Hasanov, who co-wrote the series with Araz Bayramov and cinematographer Emil Guliyev, described Tilov as a “fictional drama consisting of ten episodes,” highlighting the collaboration among the creative team. “Emil has a very distinctive visual style,” Hasanov said. “That’s why I believe Tilov will attract great interest from audiences, much like his previous works.”
The director also praised the production team for remaining faithful to the original script. “It’s a special feeling to see your own project come to life on screen,” he noted. “I especially thank Emil for staying loyal to the scenario — it matters a great deal to me.”
Tilov airs every Sunday at 9:00 PM on İctimai TV. With its strong performances, thoughtful cinematography, and emotionally driven storytelling, the series is expected to become one of the season’s standout local productions.
